Security Geofence

Security geofence is a temporary geofence that is automatically drawn around a parked, stopped, or idling vehicle. It functions like placing a security fence or guard around the vehicle. Once the vehicle exits the geofence, you will receive an alert based on the notification settings you have selected (such as email, pop-up alerts). After the alert is sent, the security geofence will automatically disappear, but the event history will remain.

Activate Security Geofence

1. Go to the map page.

2. Click on any vehicle except moving/offline, else it will not show.

3. You will now see the security geofence button, click to activate.

Once clicked, you can set up the following:

Geofence name - automatically generated but you can edit them.

Radius - The radius can be adjusted to suit your needs, depending on how large you want the monitored area to be around your vehicle.

Select your preferred alert methods whether popup or email and click ‘Create’.

Once created, you should be able to see your created security geofence around your vehicle.

Edit Security Geofence

To edit your security geofence, go to the geofence page, locate your vehicle's security geofence, and click on the pencil icon. You can also manually remove the geofence if needed.

Once the pencil icon is clicked, you can edit the shape, radius and color of your geofence. If you made any changes, don’t forget to click ‘Update’.

View Security Geofence Alert

When the vehicle leaves the security geofence, you will receive an alert depending on your alert methods. To view the alert, go to the events page, where you will find the security geofence alerts listed.
