Show Trip Points in Trip
This feature removes the tracks and replaces them with sequential clearly numbered points and users can track the exact order of movements (e.g., 1 → 2 → 3...) without guessing based on line direction or timestamps. This makes the map easier to read, especially on mobile or smaller screens. To know more about the trip points, you may refer to this user guide.
To access this feature, navigate to the 'Map page', select the device you want to view the tracks, and under the ‘Trips’ tab, you will see the switch as shown in the image below. It will show the track lines by default, so you will need to manually click on the switch to remove the tracks and change it to numbered data points.
For scenarios like delivery or service vehicles with frequent stops (e.g., every few blocks), drawing lines between every point can clutter the map. While in urban areas or during complex trips, lines can overlap heavily, making it hard to see individual points. In cases when there are jumps or anomalies in the GPS data (e.g., teleporting from point A to point B), lines may confuse users.
By removing the lines between trip points, this allows users to spot gaps or weird transitions more clearly by showing the numbered markers order points and makes it easier to see the exact sequence of visits or stops without lines overlapping or cutting through areas.
